"The Iveragh" is a large 5 bedroom (all en-suite) holiday rental property with stunning panoramic views across Kenmare Bay and The Ring of Kerry Golf Club.
Where you will stay:
Ryder Cup Accommodation for up to 10 guests, there is ample space for larger parties (and smaller ones) to enjoy the down time of The Ryder Cup. Guests can enjoy the open plan living spaces inside, and the enormous garden outside. The double sided chimney provides an open fire inside as well as a fire hearth/barbecue outside on the outdoor patio area. Relax in the egg chairs and wicker furniture as you listen to the birds quieten while the sun sets. The veranda invites you to wonder what lies on the other side of the Bay...the view is panoramic.
There is a privately licensed heli-pad at the nearby Sheen Falls Lodge Estate should guest wish to chopper to and from Adare Manor. (135km)
Kenmare:
Kenmare town has lots to boast about....It is colourful, pretty and quaint. The locals are friendly and interested in visitors to their town. A multitude of fine restaurants and bars will leave you spoiled for choice: The No 35, Mulcahy's, Lagom, The Atlantic Bar, The Brewhouse, The Lansdowne Hotel, The Stables at Sheen Falls Lodge, The Boathouse at Dromquinna, Maison Gourmet, Poffs, and Blasta to mention a few. The Parknasilla Hotel is also just 20 minutes away by car.
Golf:
Our property borders The Ring of Kerry Golf Club and the Clubhouse is just a 5 minute drive. Kenmare Golf Club is also only 10 minutes away by car. Both have wonderful restaurant and bar options. The spectacular views are a bonus.
Things to do:
Hiking: The Old Kenmare Road Hike, Torc Mountain, Lord Brandon's Cottage and Hiking Trail, The Black Valley, Gleninchaquin National Park and The Priest's Leap are recommended for walking enthusiasts. Each of these will provide photo opportunities to ensure that your memories of your vacation will last a lifetime....Simply stunning scenery.
Beaches:
Coss Strand and Templenoe Pier are both just 5 minutes away by car. Here you will find brave swimmers all year round braving the waters of Kenmare Bay as it flows towards the Atlantic. Kayaking is also available from Templenoe Pier.
White Strand Beach is a favourite of ours....a small sheltered cove with calm waters...very pretty.
Horseriding:
Dromquinna Stables is located a few minutes from Templenoe Pier. The horses and riders can often be seen heading in to the shallow waters to cool off when the tide is low.
