Wyngate is a family run guest house in Meols, Wirral with welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation close to the beach on the beautiful Wirral peninsula.
We are within walking distance to the famous Royal Liverpool Golf Club (1.6 miles) which has held The Open in 2006 and 2014.
Just 10 minute walk from Wyngate Guest House is Meols train station which connects you to West Kirby, Liverpool and Chester. All trains pass through Lime Street which means you then have direct access to trains from Edinburgh to London.
Large retail park nearby - The Colliseum and Cheshire Oaks (UK's largest outlet centre)
Including: restaurants, cinema, shops, aquarium, ten pin bowling.
Chester only 15 miles away from this Open 2023 Accommodation, 30 mins by car.
Very good transport links with trains, in close proximity to the M56 & M53 and Mersey tunnels into Liverpool.
The price is for all the rooms only and breakfast (served 8am-9am) is an optional charge and must be prebooked in advance.
We can also offer evening meals which is an optional charge and again must be prebooked in advance and will be served at 7pm each evening.
The rooms sizes are as follows
Quad room ( sleeps 4, in either 1 x superking bed and 2 x singles or it can be 4 x singles if preferred) with ensuite shower room.
Triple room (sleeps 3 in 1 x standard double bed and 1 x single) with a full ensuite bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet.
Superking double/twin room (sleeps 2 and can be either be 2 x singles beds or 1 x superking bed) with ensuite shower room.
Ground floor twin room with ensuite wet room.
There is a loft conversion that can be 1 x superking bed or 2 x single beds and has its own private bathroom, with bath, wash basin and toilet.
There is a fridge in each room.
Our comfortable B&B is a homely place with comfortable bedrooms, cosy lounge with traditional wood burning stove which provides perfect place to relax and rest at the end of the day.
Nearby, there is a great selection of shops, pubs, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities.
At the end of the road is the beach where you can take a long relaxing walk to Hoylake and visit the Lifeboat museum or pop into the local town and visit the many great bars and restaurants. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous you could walk to West Kirby and enjoy the marina or perhaps take a walk to Hilbre Island and see the native seals that live on the island.
You can also join the Wirral Way from West Kirby which can ultimately take you all the way to Chester and it’s great for cyclists too.
