Accommodation for The Open only 10 miles from The Open in St Andrews.

A bespoke cottage built in 2016, the Rings can accommodate up to 16 guests and is fully accessible. It is only 20 minutes by car to St Andrews

Our cottage is flexible allowing you to be one large group or 4 smaller groups with individual kitchen facilities. Each of our 8 en-suite bedrooms has French doors which lead out onto the decking surrounding the property and can be made as a super-king double or with twin single beds.

Within walking distance along a rural pathway is the Kingarrock Hickory golf, located at Hill of Tarvit House; a National Trust property. Experience authentic golfing history on a unique 9 hole golf course using the hickory golf clubs which were the tools of golf in the Edwardian era. More about the property:

The Rings is set in 90 acres of peaceful Fife farmland near the ancient market town of Cupar. It has stunning views and rural walks across the Howe of Fife to the Lomond Hills.

The lounge area offers soft seating for guests to take it easy and put their feet up in front of the large south facing floor to ceiling windows where we hope you will enjoy the panoramic views over rolling Fife countryside. A wall mounted television, with integrated DVD and Netflix; as well as free wifi internet access in all areas of the property; will keep you connected to the outside world as you relax in our peaceful rural location.

French doors open out directly onto the decking, which surrounds the cottage and gives a firm flat base to enjoy the fresh air. An overhang has been provided to shelter guests at all times of year. Outdoor power points to charge cars or equipment are also provided.

The accommodation is self-catering and well equipped, so a supermarket delivery could be ordered in advance of your stay. Alternatively, Luvian’s bottle shop in Cupar offers a delicatessen. While Balgove Larder has a wider selection of high quality food and drink.

Transportation:

Airport transfers and venue transportation is not included but can be arranged for an additional cost.

St Andrews is 20mins drive away, and Edinburgh an hour’s drive. Perthshire and the Angus glens are all within easy reach for day trips.
We are a farm and can offer the possibility of landing a helicopter on our ground near to the Rings if that would be helpful.

Accessible features:

The whole property is fully wheelchair accessible and was designed and built to meet the needs of those with disabilities. This makes the property inclusive. It does not “look disabled” but if you need the special features, they are available.

Rental Price:

The rental price for this British Open Accommodation is £25,000 for a duration of 7-10 days.

A 30% non-refundable booking deposit will secure your stay. A credit card will be required as damage deposit (no funds will be taken unless damage is discovered upon departure). Full payment is due by 14th May, 2022.
