An historic house along a tree-lined drive, surrounded by fields and moorland, Downiepark House is an elegant location for large gatherings.

Downiepark is a 10 minute drive from Kirriemuir, known as ‘The Gateway to the Glens’, an hour’s drive to St Andrews and well served by local airports, 30 minutes from Dundee, 90 minutes from Edinburgh and just over an hour from Aberdeen, making it ideal accommodation for the Open.

Downiepark is an imposing but welcoming house with a large stone-flagged and pillared entrance hall, a stylish two-storey hanging staircase and several beautifully light and spacious oval rooms. The house has been imaginatively refurbished and decorated in a light and occasionally quirky style, with fine fabrics and a selection of antiques dotted throughout.

The magnificent high-ceilinged dining room has a large dining table, an open fire and wonderful views, and is the ideal location for sharing a celebratory meal. There is also a charming TV room and a lovely breakfast room, both of which are perfect for relaxing in. There is also a boot room and bathroom on the ground floor.

The lower ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen with additional dining space, and a games room where you can try your hand at table tennis. There is also a cosy twin bedroom on this floor as well as a utility room, larder, bathroom and separate WC.
