Ross Farm Cottage sleeps 6 (3 double rooms). This Open Accommodation is furnished to a high standard and is set in a stunning, elevated rural position with spectacular views of the Almond Hills in beautiful Perthshire. It is just an hour’s drive or 71 km (44 miles) from St Andrews, 17 km (11 miles) from Gleneagles: within easy reach of all your practical needs as well as enabling you to explore everything Perthshire & Fife has to offer. Also accessible to Gleneagles, Auchterarder, Perth and Crieff, to the M90, A90 and A9. Edinburgh airport is just 1 hour away, Glasgow airport is 1 hour 15 mins away and there are train stations at Perth, Gleneagles and Dunblane – within 15-30 mins drive.
Ross Farm Cottage is a superbly renovated and extended farm cottage (circa 1850) set within a small development of prestige properties on the edge of Ross Farm, with parking alongside the house and a garden to relax and enjoy the views from.
There are 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (one en suite). The large stylish lounge has huge windows on 3 sides, enabling visitors to enjoy the views. Heating is underfloor and there is a dual log burner fire between the lounge and dining hall which can be used for additional atmosphere. The 8 seater dining table can be extended and is set in the galleried hall, which is divided from the entrance to the Cottage by a glass vestibule. Most of the house is oak floored, except for the carpeted bedrooms. The kitchen is ultra modern with oven, coffee machine, microwave, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and modern induction hob. Also in the kitchen, there is bar seating for 4 with a further 3 seats. French doors open into the garden. There is a flat screen television in the kitchen as well as the lounge and 2 of the bedrooms. Wi-fi is provided. There is a Gas BBQ in the garden with outdoor seating for six with 3 more outside tables and chairs. Ross Farm Cottage is a perfect space for a gathering of family or friends attending the Open.
Towels and bed-linen are included and there is a utility room with washing machine, sink, tumble dryer and drying rack.

Perthshire itself offers stunning scenery and a huge variety of things to do. The surrounding hills, glens and lochs provide interesting walks, cycling (on and off road), hill climbing, water sports, fishing, shooting and stalking. There are many good golf courses nearby including 18 hole courses in Crieff and Auchterarder. Gleneagles has three championship courses, an equestrian centre and a shooting school. For those who wish to venture further, there are many wonderful courses in St Andrews: about 70 mins away. Crieff is a historic old drovers' town and has a good range of restaurants and cafes, as well as the oldest distillery in Scotland at Glenturret and Crieff Hydro Spa. Perth has a great array of independent shops, art galleries, museum, theatre and concert hall. Scone, Stirling and Blair castles are particularly worth visiting (within 40 – 60 mins drive), as well as the smaller, local Huntingtower castle. Dunkeld and Aberfeldy towns are also worth a visit and particularly Pitlochry with it's fabulous theatre by the Loch. and famous Salmond Ladder Coastal villages such as Crail are within an hours drive. Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily reached . Wildlife is everywhere: red kites, ospreys, golden eagles , lapwings, oyster catchers, red squirrels, deer and flying geese.

For anyone visiting Scotland Ross Farm Cottage is a must and particularly for golfers who want access to Gleneagles Golf Resort for the Open in 2020.
Ross Farm Cottage sleeps 6 and is a three bedroomed/three bathroomed detached cottage in the Perthshire countryside – in Findo Gask/Madderty in Perthshire, perfectly located in central Scotland. It is on an elevated corner plot with stunning panoramic views. There is off road parking on either side of the garage for 4 cars.
The property is a short drive away from Gleneagles, Auchterarder, Crieff and Perth where there a range of excellent local amenities. It is approximately an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow or St Andrews and Pitlochry to name a few. There is easy access by road or rail or bus to all these places and more. Flights to and from Edinburgh or Glasgow airports are a bonus, with the usual car hire facilities.
The cottage has an entrance vestibule to store coats, shoes, sports equipment, a large dining hall with seating for at least 8 people, 2 bathrooms with shower and 1 bathroom with bath and shower, large lounge with panoramic views, dining kitchen, 3 double bedrooms with double beds (master en-suite). All beds are double. Don’t be put off by the animals on the blue bedroom – it is not a child’s room! All bathrooms have heated towel rails. Attractive gardens seating on all sides. Heating and hot water are provided by a ground source heat pump and multifuel stove. There are televisions in two of the bedrooms; also in the kitchen and lounge. Mood lighting in the dining hall, en-suite bathroom and lounge. The modern kitchen has a breakfast bar that seats 4 people as well as comfortable seating for a further 3. All appliances are electric. There is a microwave, oven and coffee machine. Glass panelled french doors lead out to one side of the garden that has a large gas BBQ and a table and chairs for six. There is also fabulous barn-door in the kitchen for that cottage feel and extra fresh air in the summer. There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and washing line. The cottage has wi-fi throughout.
All the local town and villages have cafes, restaurants and take-away food. Less than 5 mins away from the cottage is an exceptional farm food, clothing, gift shop and café where the breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas are a must and where the food shop can provide everything you may need plus award winning ready-made meals.
Cinemas and theatres are as near as Perth as well as in other cities. ……. Local sightseeing …
