Both properties are located in Miltown Malbay where you will find an array of shops, traditional Irish pubs and cosy restaurants. Miltown Malbay is 40mins from Shannon Airport, 10mins from Lahinch for the Walker Cup 5th and 6th September 2026 and just 15mins from Trump International Golf Course Doonbeg for the Irish Open 10th to 13th September inclusive.

Besides Lahinch golf club, 10 mins up the road and Trump International Golf Course 15 mins away golfers are spoilt for choice, also on the doorstep is the Links Course in Spanish Point only 2 km away.Kerry is also easily accessible via the ferry only 30 mins away and has some fabulous Golf Courses in Ballybunion and Killarney. For those golfers wanting to try out the Ryder Cup venue 2027, Adare is only 50 mins away. For any trips transport can be arranged in advance.

While there's a multitude of golf courses to choose from, if you get tired of golfing and want to do some sight seeing then here are some recommendations to ensure you get the most from your stay in West Clare. The town has a lot to offer with the Design Bank a beautiful space displaying local crafts and creations, a farmers market, loads of restaurants specalising in steaks and freshly caught seafood as well as ice cream parlours, cafes and art gallery. Locally you will find traditional Irish music sessions in the pubs most nights of the week where you can enjoy a pint of Guinness and a chat with the locals. Feeling energetic, there are lovely safe beaches, cycling, hiking, fishing and surfing all on the doorstep. The nearest beach, the White Strand is less than 1km away, it is very safe and suitable for swimming with a spectacular cliff walk, and where you can hire kayaks, do some sea diving or relax in the beachside sauna. Another beach, Spanish Point is 2km away and is suitable for long walks, swimming and surfing. Every morning at both beaches all year round there is a group swim where everyone is welcome to join in.

Why not enjoy a short aircraft spin to the Cliffs of Moher taking in the spectacular West Clare coastline, these can be organised at the local flying centre just 1km away or take time out to visit the Burren, a UNESCO Global Geopark known for its combination of ancient archaeological sites, unique flora including Mediterranean and alpine plants, a rich cave system, and a distinct farming tradition. While there visit the perfumery, showing the art of making perfume from the local fauna found only in the Burren, a beautiful and unique gift to take home.

Obviously, the Cliffs of Moher is on everyone’s ‘Must See’ list and there are a couple of ways to view and get the best from the Cliffs. You can do the standard drive and park up or you can also take a boat trip and view the majestic cliffs from the Atlantic Ocean, or opt for a guided tour by a local farmer, the choice is yours. There is lots more to do and see in Co Clare, villages and towns like Doolin, Fanore, Ennistymon, Lahinch, Liscannor, Quilty, Kilkee are all well worth a trip where you can see all sorts such as bottlenose dolphins, spectacular cliffs, light houses, rock climbing and underground caves where you can see the Great Stalactite, the largest free-hanging stalactite in Europe. If you visit Clare then you will want to see the County capital of Ennis and then on the East side of the County the lovely town of Killaloe. A short ferry trip from the village of Doolin will get you to the Aran Islands where the islanders speak only Irish and the way of life takes you back 100 years or so in time.
The lively city of Galway is only 1 hour away and on the doorstep of Connemara, wild and untamed and again where Irish is the spoken language.

Another day trip is to Loop Head Peninsula, drive to the seaside town of Kilkee, check out the pollack holes and if you have time do the Kilkee Cliffs walk, a stunning cliff top walk then head on to the village of Cross, the Bridges of Ross and then to Loop Head lighthouse, walk out from the lighthouse to the tip of land where you will see the word EIRE carved into the rock. Then drive on to the village of Kilbaha and visit the Church of the little Ark, a deeply historical site. Keep a watch out for the dolphins at Carrigaholt and drive on then to Doonaha, Querrin, Moyasta and back to Miltown Malbay. Visit the small fishing village of Quilty on the way back with the famous Star of the Sea Church built to commemorate the rescue of the crew of the French ship Léon XIII in 1907.There are loads of great pubs and restaurants along the way serving fresh fish, steaks and Guinness.

Transport again can be arranged to all of these towns, villages and sights as well as the availability of a FREE Hop On Hop Off bus from Miltown Malbay to all the towns and villages of West Clare and to the golf tournament venues throughout the Summer and to be extended for the Walker and the Irish Open Golf Competitions.
