Located in a small, quiet housing estate, our home can become your home for the week where you can enjoy having a traditional Irish pub (complete with traditional music sessions!), a bar/ restaurant and a service station/grocery store just a 2 minute stroll away.
The neighbouring village of Ballyhale (2.5km away and linked to Knocktopher by a safe pedestrian walkway) has a pharmacy, a quaint tearooms and is home to AllIreland Hurling Champions, Ballyhale Shamrocks, so you might like to observe our national game of hurling along with your golfing adventures!
Local gems like Castlemorris and Knockdrinna Woods, Kells Priory and Jerpoint Abbey offer the best of Irish nature and history whilst the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market at Mountain View might be a lovely way to start the day before heading to Mount Juliet. Neighbouring villages of Thomastown and Stonyford are just a 5 minute drive away, whilst the picturesque village of Inistioge and stunning Woodstock Gardens (locations where 'Circle of Friends' was filmed) are just 18 minutes away. The medieval city of Kilkenny with its beautiful castle, Medieval mile and St. Canice's Round Tower is just 15 minutes away. With an abundance of cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs to choose from, you can enjoy wonderful culinary experiences whilst revelling in our infamous Irish welcome and history.
Our house can sleep 7 occupants and will be presented to you in pristine condition. Downstairs, there is a large kitchen dining room with an adjoining living room, a utility room, a wash room and a cosy sitting room with large Smart TV (to unwind and watch the Open highlights!). Upstairs, you will find the main bathroom, Master bedroom with Superking bed, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite, a double room, a twin room and an office which has a single bed if required.
Our enclosed private back garden has a small seating area and, if you are travelling with children, there are lots of things to keep them safely entertained!
Our house comes with unlimited high-speed broadband, a modern alarm system and an array of functional applianves (washing machine, dryer, air fryer, microwave, coffee machine etc.). The house has oil-based central heating, a modern alarm system and a sound system in the kitchen.
We will provide all necessary essentials such as fresh towels, bed linen, toiletries, cleaning products etc. whilst ensuring that you have ample space to store your own clothes,food etc. We will provide a full clean of the property during your stay and will be available to offer advice and assistance over the duration of your visit.
You will receive a traditional Irish Welcome Pack on arrival and we look forward to extending that welcome to you as you enjoy your Irish Open experience!
