The Powder House is situated in the heart of Kilkenny City, a house of great significant history, dating back to the 19th Century when it was an artillery barracks.

The location of this Irish Open Accommodation is 1 hour 20 minutes from Dublin and Dublin international airport, 20 minutes from Mount Juliet, with perfect access via the Kilkenny ring road and Waterford road to the Irish Open Golf Championship.
There are some fantastic golf courses in the surrounding area, which includes Kilkenny Golf Club (within 5min), Gowran Park (within 20 minutes), Carlow Golf Course (within 30 minutes) and Callan Golf Club (within 30 minutes).

The house is a 5 minute walk to the centre of Kilkenny City, with access to the superb bars, restaurants and historic streets.

The property has 5 double bedrooms, 4 of which are ensuite, the other bedroom having access to the main bathroom with bath and separate shower. The house also has a games room with a pool table.
The property has gate access into private off-street car parking and a large private walled garden set in 1/2 an acre.
Owners Jacqueline and Will Kirby have been the owners of the house since 2015 and have sympathetically restored the house. We will be delighted to host any group staying in the area to attend the Irish Open and will provide a continental breakfast each day.
