Upper Ballaird is a stunning property with one of the most incredible views in Scotland over three mountain ranges and yet it is not in the least remote, you are only 34 miles from Gleneagles and about 14 miles from the pick up point at Stirling, there is also a train station at Stirling,It is spectacular, surrounded by it's own land of about twenty acres so you can land a helicopter, we do operate a strictly no smoking policy. With a gorgeous forty foot drawing room with dining area and enormous log gas fire and large glass doors which overlook the views, a dining kitchen with aga, very large master with en-suite another good size double bedroom with en-suite and three other lovely double rooms a beautiful bathroom with bath and shower, you have another sitting room which is of a good size with an open working fireplace. Nearby you have the villages of Balfron, Killearn,Buchlyvie and Drymen, Balmaha is only a very short drive away and you can be on the side of Loch Lomond, try a flight on the sea plane, sail on the quaint steamer the Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine and learn about the Lady of the Lake, visit Stirling Castle or Doune Castle where they are filming the new Outlander series, walk part of the west highland way, visit Glen Finglas where they have some of the most ancient trees in Scotland, there are several golf courses for you to try including The prestigious Buchanan golf club where I may be able to get special day rate for you with prior knowledge,visit the Trossachs national park or go on the art and literature trail, try the Blair Drummond safari park, there are two local distillery's to visit and try their wares! visit the stunning award winning spa the Carrick on Loch Lomond sheer bliss! you are at the centre of the country and yet only one hours drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh airports and those great cities. We have some great restaurants from the famous Martin Wishart who has a Michelin star at Cameron house hotel to fabulous McMillans bistro in Buchlyvie a family run bistro serving great food made from well sourced local produce book in advance for both.
