The Old Rectory is a beautiful 16th Century country house surrounded by peaceful gardens, lush farmland and imposing mountains.
We're only a few minutes drive from the bustling market town of Abergavenny and just 18 miles (25 minutes) from The Celtic Manor Resort, home to the 2010 Ryder Cup.
The Old Rectory comprises an entrance hall with access to dining room, utility room, sitting room and the large kitchen/conservatory.
The comfortable sitting room has a welcoming log fire, perfect for those chilly Autumn evenings. A wide range of board games are available to you here as well as a large TV, DVD player and a Nintendo Wii.
The oak-panelled dining room has a large table which can seat eight in comfort. There is a door leading off here both to the sitting room and to a second, more formal drawing room, where a second log fire awaits.
The kitchen adjoins our light and airy conservatory and is the largest room in the house, with expansive views of the surrounding fields leading down to the River Usk. The sunrises can be spectacular from this room, and you may find you spend most of your time sitting here enjoying a glass of wine and a good book.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms. There is also a fourth bedroom on this floor which could easily accommodate a single bed if required. On the second floor are a further two bedrooms which could be made available if needed.
There is a family bathroom on this floor (which includes a WC, bath and large walk-in shower) and a second bathroom with WC, bath and washbasin. There is a third WC on the ground floor next to the utility room.
At the rear of the house is a gated driveway with parking for up to four cars.
This Ryder Cup property normally runs as a Bed and Breakfast but is being offered as a self catering option for the duration of the Ryder Cup. You can read more about the house at www.oldrectorybedandbreakfast.co.uk
