The Perfect Place to stay for the Ryder Cup -
Just to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Kempley Barns. Everyone was most impressed with the accommodation (quote "I didn't know there was anything as good as this outside North America"!) and felt very comfortable and relaxed.
The golfing fraternity excelled in the beautiful surroundings of Ross on Wye golf club and our walks were splendid - we did five hours on Saturday, 2 1/2 hours either side of a pub lunch which the non-walkers joined in, then another hour or so on Sunday morning, so with that and the pool we were all able to enjoy lots of lovely food and drink as well! Saturday evening we indulged in a grand dress-up dinner and the Granary looked magnificent by candlelight with those lovely roses and some daffodils on the tables.

Ross on Wye Golf club is 2.5 miles and close to the M50 junction 3. There are several alternative golf courses within easy driving distance.
Each of the five barns has been lovingly restored by skilled local crafts-men, featuring lime mortared stone walls, spiral stone stairs with oak or slate floors. The barns are fitted to the highest 5 star standards with under-floor heating, gourmet oak kitchens, granite surfaces and luxurious slate bathrooms. Spacious vaulted living and dining areas combined with comfortable bedrooms complete with Egyptian cotton linen, towels and robes.
The contemporary interiors furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new offer the tactile comfort of leather, linen, wood and stone. Living close to nature, blurring the boundaries between the inside and out offers the perfect antidote to the stresses of city life. Take a romantic break for two or fill the barns with your friends and family, relax and dine together in the Granary or host your own country house party. Take a dip in the indoor heated pool, play in the covered barn, picnic under the oak tree beside the lily ponds or dine alfresco.
When you manage to drag yourself away from the farm you can practise your swing at several golf courses or even at the farm, place a bet at the races, explore the castles, sample the local ciders and wines or visit the many award winning pubs and Michelin starred restaurants. Walk through the spectacular countryside or amble along the daffodil way. The list of outdoor activities available is endless, canoeing to quad- biking, horse riding to hang-gliding, the choice is yours.

The Barns
A courtyard of medieval stone barns nestling in the countryside converted to provide luxurious 5 Star Accommodation for up to 27 persons 2.5 miles from junction 3 of the M50.
The Bull Pen - sleeps 2- originally inhabited by Amorous Arthur (a traditional Hereford Bull) provides double height luxurious romantic accommodation for two. The slick kitchen adjoins the living area where you can be serenaded from the upstairs bathroom and glass balconied vaulted sleeping platform accessed by a sculptured spiral stone staircase.
The Great Barn - sleeps 6- a magnificent handcrafted oak structure comfortably sleeps 6. The spacious entrance hall offers a panoramic view and access to the surrounding farmland and is adjoined by two en-suite double bedrooms seductively illuminated by the original arrow slits. From the entrance hall you can ascend the stone spiral staircases leading to the split level living and dining areas, the perfect entertaining space with tremendous views, dramatic living area and chic kitchen. This space leads to an additional vaulted double bedroom plus en-suite with celestial glazing and quirky arrow slit windows.
The Hayloft - sleeps 4- and the Granary - sleeps 7. The Hayloft and Granary can be booked separately or when the interconnecting door is open the double height open plan top floor offers you 1800 square feet of living space in which you can relax and dine together, including a wood burning stove, two gourmet kitchens, fabulous views through a combination of full height and traditional arrow slit windows. (Your entire party of 27 can dine together here.) Two spiral stone staircases bring you to the sleeping areas, which comprise: Two en-suite double bedrooms: three large double bedrooms; and a further two luxurious bathrooms.
The Cart Shed - sleeps 8. The Cart Shed has 4 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and an en suite wet-room at ground level (suitable for people with mobility problems). The double height, ground floor, airy living space with log burning stove and separate fully appointed kitchen / dining area overlook the courtyard, stream and meadows.

- Further days available upon request.
Extras
- Breakfast can be arranged for an extra fee and Bob will be delighted to collect and drop off at the airport or Gloucester Station.
- We can also offer the services of our chef who can prepare delicious meals ready to cook or reheat. All the ingredients are sourced locally and will tempt your taste buds.
- Alternatively indulge yourselves and appoint a chef for your stay, we have several excellent recommendations.
- Our Dr Hauschka Beautician or dedicated Massage therapist can add those finishing touches.
