The Ryder Cup 2014 golf tournament will take place at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland. In 1921 The King's course at The Gleneagles Hotel hosted the first informal competition between British and American teams, the golfing event was a forerunner to the Ryder Cup itself. The golf course was created by Jack Nicklaus and was opened in 1993.
